Lumo Amuzo is the independent game publishing label of P. D. (Paul) Warne, a Montreal artist and game maker developing the Larklamp Magic Lantern Game System – a boardgame "console" featuring a series of games made of light and shadow.
For ten years Warne designed videogames at Lucas, Double Fine and Ubisoft studios, and was co-founder of Hololabs Studio in 2010. In 2015 he set out to create a new gaming platform inspired by Plato's Allegory of the Cave.
In May 2016 the Larklamp was successfully funded on Kickstarter, raising nearly 1000% of its funding goal. The Kickstarter edition also includes the first Larklamp game, Snyxtrap – a jury-selected participant in the IndieMEGABOOTH game festival at the 2016 PAX East Game Expo in Boston.
The Larklamp and two games for the system, Snyxtrap and Wisp in the Vale, will become available for pre-order on the Lumo Amuzo website starting May 2017.
